KCU Bounces Back in Round 2
Winona Lake, IN – After dropping their first round game to #1 Oakland City, Kentucky Christian rebounded to win their second round game over Columbia International University. This game went right down to the wire, with the Lady Knights claiming victory on a Bell Sparks driving bucket with 11.4 seconds. The score gave KCU a 74-72 lead, which was the final margin.
With the win, Kentucky Christian plays the winner of the #7 Asbury University-#6 Houghton University (10:15 AM) game. The winner earning the 5th place finish in the nation!

- Four Lady Knights reached double figures, led by Jada Higgins double-double. She had 16 pts and 15 rebs to go with seven assists, two steals, and a block.
- Sparks came off the bench to record 15 points, three assists, and three steals.
- The duo of Cassie Baygents and Kylie Gilliam had 10 points each. They combined for seven rebounds, three assists, three blocks, and a steal.
- Abby West just missed double-digits with nine points (2-3pters) but added two rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block.
