KCU Lady Knights Triumph in NCCAA Mideast Regional Opener

The Kentucky Christian University Lady Knights secured a hard-fought victory over Oakland City University in the opening round of the NCCAA Mideast Regional Volleyball Tournament on Thursday, winning the match 3-2. The set scores were 21-25, 25-20, 24-26, 25-16, and 15-7.
The Lady Knights, now holding a 12-20 season record, demonstrated resilience by overcoming an initial set loss to claim the next two sets. Despite a narrow defeat in the third set, they dominated the fourth and decisive fifth sets to clinch the match. Oakland City University concludes their season with a 12-19 record.
Coach Russ Cassidy said after the match concluded, "I'm proud of how the girls played tonight. They showed how they can fight back after one loss in a set. We as a team are excited for this win and ready to play tomorrow."
This victory advances Kentucky Christian to the next round of the tournament, where they are scheduled to face Ohio Christian University on Friday at 5 p.m. CST. The outcome of this match will determine which team progresses further in the regional competition.
