Lady Knights Win Home Opener

Grayson, KY - The Lady Knights made their home debut on Septmber 9th against Tennessee Wesleyan. KCU opened up set 1 with a hard fought win by a tight score of 28-26. TWU came back in the second set with a win by the score of 25-17. TWU took the third set with a score of 25-16. KCU opened up the fourth set taking a 20-7 lead over the Bulldogs. The Knights force a fith set with a set 4 win by a score of 25-14. KCU and TWU kept things tight in the fifth set with the score going back and forth but the Lady Knights prevailed and took the win by a final score of 17-15 to win the match 3-2 over the Bulldogs. 

Inside the Stas

• Emily Adkins led the Knights with 15 kills, 1 block, and 3 block assists.
• Delanie Gilliland had 12 kills, 6 service aces, and 1 block assist. 
• Ashlyn Funk had 15 digs and 1 service ace.

Next Time Out 

• The Lady Knights will be back on the road on September 12th at 6:30 PM to take on Union.
