Bio
Kristen Brown is from Grayson, Kentucky and attended and played basketball at East Carter High School where she was the point guard for the varsity team for seven seasons and holds multiple school records. Kristen is a wife, new mother, elementary school teacher, and a former athlete and assistant coach.
A four-year starter for the Marshall University Women’s basketball program, she excelled both on and off the court earning a place on the Conference USA All-Academic Team, given the Commissioner’s Academic Medal for four consecutive years, and receiving the Spirit of Service Award during her collegiate career which reflects her giving back to the community and inspiring those around her.
She has been an assistant coach at both the middle school and high school level. Her background in basketball and coaching equips her with unique insights into athlete development and teamwork. She is grateful and excited for the opportunity to be a part of the KCU family.
