Knights Blank Bluefield on Senior Day

Grayson, KY – The Knights men's soccer team earned their first shutout of the season and it came on the day the program honored its five seniors: Josh Brand (SR/Grayson, KY), Zachary Gomez (SR/Comfort, TX), Isaiah Jones (SR/Louisville, KY), Austin McGee (SR/Franklin, KY), and Tyler Webb (SR/Proctorville, OH). KCU then went on to defeat Bluefield College, 3-0.

Knights Stats

• Ethan Combs (JR/Hixson, TN) scored two goals in the space of seven minutes late in the game. The first coming in the 79^th minute and the second in the 86^th minute off a pass from Daniel LaRue (FR/Fort Wayne, IN).
• In between the Combs' goals, Canon Claeys (SO/Christiansted, VI) found the net with an assist from Nathan Haley (FR/King, NC). His goal came in the 80^th minute
• The Knights defense played very well as they kept goalkeeper Caleb DuBois (JR/Signal Mountain, TN)' work to a minimum. DuBois only faced five attempts by the Rams and he stopped all five.

Team Totals

• Offensive efficiency was the key word as KCU scored three goals on only five attempts.

The Winning Factor

• The offense scored a season-high goal number (3) and brought home the "Senior Day" win.

Who's Up Next

The Knights men's soccer team will host Point University on Friday. The game will start at 6:30 PM.
