Knights Drop Mideast Region Game to Johnson
Knoxville, TN – With the calendar ready to see January give way to February, Kentucky Christian University traveled to Knoxville, TN to play a crucial Mideast Region contest with Johnson University. As the region tournament draws ever closer, the Royals secured an important 98-107 victory over the Knights that will impact the overall seeding.
KCU placed four in double digits as Hayden Dunn led all scorers with 30 points on 11-15 from the field including 2-3 from behind the arc and 6-9 from the charity stripe. He also pulled down nine boards and handed out four assists for his night's work. Following Dunn, Brandon Barnes added 23 points on 9-17 shooting which included four 3-pointers. Owens Crawford chipped in 10 points and rounding out the players reaching double figures, Matthew Lee scored 11 points and collected six rebounds to go with a team-high seven assists.
Kentucky Christian returns to action next Tuesday as they host the University of Cincinnati-Clermont. Game time is set for 7:00PM.
