Football Loses at Faulkner
Montgomery, AL – The KCU Knights football traveled to Montgomery, AL for their last road game of the 2021 season. While the Knights led in most of the statistical categories (first downs, total offense, passing yards, etc.), they did not lead in the most important category … the scoreboard. KCU lost 20-38.
Knights Stats
- Riley Cooper (SR/Columbus, OH) got the start at the quarterback position and was 25-44 for 319 yards. He threw for two touchdowns and had two interceptions.
- On the ground, Jordan Brown (FR/Knoxville, TN) once again led the Knights with 12 carries for 66 yards. Jarrett Hampton (FR/Fort Lauderdale, FL) added 33 yards on eight carries.
- Diego Soto (SO/Orange Park, FL) led all Knights receivers with five catches for 63 yards. Brendan Ray (SR/Birmingham, AL) and Dylan Feese (SR/Columbia, KY) both collected touchdown catches.
- Dejhawn Hill (SR/Fresno, CA) and Jackquis Murphy (FR/Mountgomery, AL) (SO/Montgomery, AL) led the defense with six total tackles each.
Team Totals
- Kentucky Christian amassed 384 yards of offense.
The Winning Factor
- The Eagles 1st quarter start put KCU in a hole from which they could not recover.
Who's Up Next
KCU finishes off their regular season in Knights Stadium as they host Reinhardt University. The KCU football program will honor their seniors next Saturday. The game time is set for 1:30 PM.
