Knights Ground Skyhawks

West Point, GA – KCU's football team traveled to Point University seeking their fifth win of the 2020-21 football season. A task that is always a difficult undertaking in the Mid-South Conference but on this Saturday, the Knights pulled it off with a 28-14 victory.
Knights Stats
- KCU quarterback, Jakwon Roberts (SR/Smiths Station, AL) was 16-30 for 125 yards throwing the ball including three more touchdowns to his season total that now stands at fourteen. He also rushed for 20 yards and a touchdown.
- For the second game in a row, Dae'vontay Latimer (SO/Dayton, OH) led the ground game with 61 rushing yards with a long of 22-yds.
- Three KCU receivers scored touchdowns as Traveon Auzenne (SO/Houston, TX), Amari Hardwick (JR/Moffett, OK) and Diego Soto (FR/Orange Park, FL) found the endzone. Roberts connected with eight receivers during the game.
- Phedarrius Thompson (SR/Somerville, TN) led the defense with seven solo tackles and one assist. Ethan Owens (SR/Tracy, CA) collected six tackles and the trio of Devin Bacchus, James Castleberry, and Trey Malashevich (SR/Ceredo, WV) added six each.
Team Totals
- Both teams earned 17 first downs with the Knights holding only a 33-yd advantage in total yards gained during play. The stats portray a much closer game that the score represents.
- KCU won the turnover battle as the Knights only committed one to the Skyhawks four.

- The play of Roberts who accounted for all four scores.
Who's Up Next
Kentucky Christian has a bye next Saturday but returns to action on April 3rd at Reinhardt University. The game time is set for 12:00 PM.
