KCU Softball Loses to Reinhardt
Kingsport, TN – Following a rain delay and a stoppage for lightning concerns, the Kentucky Christian softball team finally got back on the field. Reinhardt University was KCU’s next opponent after a loss to Tennessee Wesleyan in the winner’s side of the schedule.
RU put the game out of reach early as they posted 11 combined runs in the first three innings of the game. Even though the Lady Knights held their own throughout the remainder of the game, the damage had already been done as the Eagles defeated KCU, 12-5.
Savannah Watson led the offense on this day, as she was 1-2, scoring two runs and driving in another. She also coaxed a walk from the RU pitching staff. Victoria Breckler scored a run and produced a hit as well.
Ashton Blackburn got the loss as she went 4.2 inings.
