Lady Knights Get Road Split at TWU

Athens, TN – The Knights softball team wrapped up their regular season with an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) twin-bill with the Bulldogs of Tennessee Wesleyan University. TWU took the first game 0-4
Game 1
- Kaytlin Leyvas was 2-3 with a double in her three plate appearances.
- Three Knights, Hannah Ison, Katelyn Pavey, and Acie Prince were 1-3 each in Game 1.
- Caroline Donithan was saddled with the loss after going the distance giving up four runs (only one earned run) while striking out three and walking one.
Game 2
- Victoria Breckler and Leyvas led the KCU offensive onslaught as both produced three hits in four times at the plate. Breckler doubled, scored two runs and drove in one while Leyvas drove in one run and scored three times.
- Going 3-5, Erica Vain had a really good game as well with two runs scored and drove two others.
- Prince also had a two-bagger as one of her three hits. She led the team with three RBIs.
- Aside from getting the win from the circle, Ashton Blackburn helped her own cause as her 2-4 outing at the plate, including a double, produced two RBIs and allowed her to tally a run scored.
