Baseball Loses Game 1 at CIU

Columbia, SC – The opening game of the Columbia International University series went to the home team as the Rams posted a 3-13 victory.
Game 1
- Cole Thomason was 1-2 and scored one of the three runes produced by the offense.
- Scoring the remaining two runs for the Knights, Tucker Sorenson and Blake Wood did so without getting a hit. Sorenson reached base on a throwing error while Wood’s run was from a pinch running appearance for Cam Marushi.
- Marushi had a hit and the Knights only RBI.
- Sam Goude was tagged with the loss. He went 5 innings and was charged with 8 runs while striking out five and walking six.
Who's Up Next
The Knights will continue their series with CIU by taking on the Rams in a 9-inning/7 inning doubleheader tomorrow. Saturday’s play will begin at 12:00 noon.
