Men’s Basketball Drops Decision at Montreat
Montreat, NC – The KCU men took on the Montreat Cavaliers today and could not overcome the 10-pt halftime deficit the Cavs had earned. Even though the Knights managed to outscore MC in the second half, the one point advantage wasn’t enough to pull out the win.
David Woodard led all scorers with 30 pts and posted 6 3-pters while he dished out five assists and grabbed four rebounds. Three other Knights reached double-digits in the scoring column with David McCallum Jr. dropping 18 pts on 7-13 shooting and a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line.
The final two members of the double-figure club, Kerby Dumay and Kirk Pence combined for 26 pts. Pence had 15 pts and a team-high eight rebounds while Dumay added five rebounds and three assists.
