Brenau Beats KCU at Home
Grayson - Kentucky Christian took the court today trying to shake off the effects of last night’s tough loss to the TMU Bears but were unable to seize much momentum against the Brenau Tigers. KCU found themselves in a back and forth match losing the first two sets by a mere two points each and then the home team lost the third set/match 0-3 (24-26, 23-25, 14-25).
Kaitlin Upshaw-Mendoza’s double-double led the way for KCU as she had 13 kills and 13 digs in addition to a solo and assisted block. Hitting an amazing .636, Emily Adkins accounted for seven kills and two assisted blocks while the duo of Delanie Gilliland and Naomi Naugler added six kills each.
Ashlyn Funk also reached the double-digit plateau in digs with 11 and Lyndi Starkey chipped in two aces.
