KCU Loses to RU in Three
Waleska, GA - Playing the back half of their weekend AAC vollyball road trip, the VolleyKnights were on the Reinhardt University campus to take on the Eagles. RU handled the Knights, winning the match, 0-3 (15-25, 15-25, 13-25). Reinhardt held the visitors to a .012 hitting percentage and only 20 total kills.
Gwen Messer led the VolleyKnights in kills with five, followed by a trio of Knights (Delanie Gilliland, Naomi Naugler, and Kristin Upshaw-Mendoza) with four kills each. With eight assists, Hannah Cron paced KCU in that category while Anna Cruser chipped in two aces.
From the back row, Upshaw-Mendoza produced eight digs followed by Ashlyn Funk's six.
Who's Up Next
The KCU volleyball team will host the Rams of Bluefield College on Tuesday; Sept. 20th in the Damron Hall of Champions. The first serve will be tossed up at 6:30 PM
