Men’s Soccer Gets Home Win

Grayson, KY - The KCU Knights soccer team opened Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play with a win against the visitors from Columbia College. Kentucky Christian’s Ethan Combs scored the game’s only goal in the 30th minute of the first half and with the win; KCU ran their 2022 record to 1-0-1.
On the winning goal, both Tanner Hughes and Douglas Porter were credited with an assist. In all, the home team collected 11 total shots with four of those being on-goal.
In the goal for the Knights, Brett Ferguson turned away all five shots he faced as the KCU back line of defense played a huge role in taking the victory. Corner kicks were even with seven each.
