Over the weekend, the Kentucky Christian Women's Soccer Team played host to the 2017 Soccer Fall Classic - Grace Bible College (MI), Johnson University (TN) and Maranatha Baptist University (WI) all made the trip to Grayson, KY. A great showing and fan support from all teams involved helped to make the weekend a huge success.

In the 1st game of the weekend for KCU, the Lady Knights struggled early on giving up back-to-back goals to Grace Bible College in the first 15 minutes and were never able to dig their way out. Following a 28th minute goal, the Lady Knights would trail 3-0 at the half.

Entering the 2nd Half, the Tigers from Grace Bible College would get another goal just 3 minutes in. The Lady Knights, however, would hold strong for the remainder of the half finally getting a breakthrough in the 65th minute as Bri Price found the back of the net, her 5th of the season. KCU would hang tough the rest of the way to keep the final margin at 4-1.

On Saturday, the Lady Knights took on the Sabercats from Maranatha Baptist University. 2 goals in the 1st half by MBU would again be too much for KCU to overcome, taking a 2-0 deficit into the break.

KCU would take over in the 2nd half, pinning Maranatha in their own end for a majority of the half. Although there were several chances, the Lady Knights just couldn't find the back of the net, finishing the game down 2-0.

Coach Johnson had this to say following the weekend, "The weekend was a great chance for our girls to see teams from all over the NCCAA, and face some really good competition. As far as the game goes, we've just got to start better. We are a very good 2nd half team, but it's impossible to overcome some of our halftime deficits."
