KCU has named Corey Fipps as their new Athletic Director. Fipps took on the role of Head Football Coach at KCU earlier this year after two seasons as the Offensive Coordinator at NCAA Division II Missouri Southern State University.

Fipps had this to say, "my family and I have been so blessed by the KCU community since arriving in Grayson. We look forward to the opportunity to expand on the strong tradition of excellence in the Kentucky Christian Athletic Department. We will strive to offer the young men and women of this department the most unique Christian athletic experience in small college athletics."

KCU President Dr. Jeff Metcalf said, "while we expected to hire an athletic director from what turned out to be a very deep external applicant pool, it was Corey's vision and passion for the unique Christ-centered environment at KCU--including and beyond athletics-- that made him a great fit. Coach Fipps is a man of integrity, Christian character, varied experience as an educator and coach, and seemingly inexhaustible energy - a pretty dynamic and compelling profile for the demanding leadership position of Athletic Director!"

As part of this restructure, Bruce Dixon, for KCU Athletic Director, will now be serving as Associate Athletic Director and Sports Information Director. Dixon will also continue in his role as Head Women's Volleyball Coach.

Dr. Metcalf said, "Bruce Dixon, as athletic director for many years, led in the development of an athletic culture at KCU in which we take much pride. Intercollegiate athletic programs have grown and developed under his leadership, and he has ensured a culture whereby athletics helps advance the Christian mission of KCU. We are indebted to Bruce for his leadership and happy that he will still be an integral part of the area he did so much to advance."
