Ankeny, IA - It proved to be another exciting night for the Knights, as they defeated #2 Valley Forge 86-85 in overtime.

This was the third time this year the Knights had to face off against the Patriots from the University of Valley Forge. The Knights lead most of the game, with a lead of 13 with 10 minutes to go in the second half. They handled the Patriots' pressure well the majority of the time, fighting through their intense man to man defense.

Valley Forge's Sanchez and Lobo showed up strong, as expected, with 18 and 19 points, respectively. They ran into foul trouble with five players fouling out including Lobo.

The Knights Freshman point guard Owens Crawford again showed up strong with a career high of 17 points. Freshman Trent Walker played excellent defense against the Patriots and ended the night with 15 points, seven rebounds, and three steals.

All-American Hayden Dunn put up a team high 25 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists. Nick Miller went 9-9 from the free throw line and ended the night with 13 points. Conner Gauze had a strong 11 points and eight rebounds, showing up big in the post.

A tied game led to overtime where the Knights repeatedly went to the line. A Knights missed free throw opened the door for the Patriots with 4 seconds to go. They drove the court and heaved a 3 that banked off the backboard at the buzzer, allowing Knights fans to breath a sigh of relief with a "W" in tow.

The Knights will play in the National Championship tomorrow at 6:00 PM (7:00 PM EST).
